I've actually seen a movie fandom, sadly, I quite disliked the adaptation :/

The movie is terribly generic and the casting as awful... nevermind it cuts out the plot that gave the book its name.

But... AMAZING book. I have so many pages marked with quotes underlined. One of my favorite, if not my favorite non-classic-literature book.

I wish there was a fandom for it, alas...
It would be kind of meta, though, since part of the plot is about a "book fandom"... lol

The adaptation was complete poop. Although he made a good Corso for me, visually. What does the book say about his different smiles...like a cartoon rabbit and then sometimes like a wolf. But they just lopped off all the "boring booky stuff" and kept the "sexy satan stuff" and it made me want to cry.

I agree. Story and plotwise the adaptation was just terrible, they skipped the whole "Club Dumas" point leaving behind many wonderful characters and they even changed most of the cast names and roles. It was awful.
I have to admit Johnny Depp did look kind of similar on how I imagined Corso in the book.
I would love to see a good film adaptation for this book someday.
