Hey, how's it going today? Just got dental work, mouth is hella numb.

I had a boring day at work, but I was able to go for a walk in the beautiful sunny weather and get my tax paperwork dropped off. Now I just need to take a shower and do my laundry before D&D! All in all, a nice Thursday.

STRESS. Good news but still STRESS.

Long day. My boss was out, so I was covering the department myself. Plus running on two nights of little sleep.

Home now. About to go to bed I think. Back pretty sore, though not the worst day I've had recently.

Okay. Had a conference call with my sister and a company that helps to coordinate paperwork/claims for long term senior living care. My mom is being moved into a facility for memory and other care, and what with all the nonsense hoops you have to jump through, we need this company to navigate so her month-to-month claims don't get denies due to improperly filled out paperwork.

They cost about 5000+ bucks. We'll have a gap in coverage (that will hopefully be reimbursed) of about 10,000+ bucks for the first 8-12 weeks. My sis and brother are having to take out loans, and this is WITH Medicare, a VA widow benefit, and LTC insurance. This is all such fucking insanity, but my sister can't care for my mom at home anymore. ARGH.

A small lotto win would be nice, universe.

Proved myself capable and valuable to the team during my last few hours of the work week, my boss reaffirmed he's pushing for me to get a full-time position in spite of the red tape that's prevented it to this point. Got rid of a giant broken TV (60 inch NOT FLATSCREEN) that's been sitting and taking up space in my kitchen for a year and a half, and the weather was really nice so I put on the cosplay I have been working on with makeup and all and went outside to take some decent shots of the whole thing finally. :D :D :D (Except I need to find a way to get the giant tattoo on my back...)

Also got an anon comment on my journal that is just so nice it made a pretty decent day even better and I am trying to figure out how to reply because I'm so freaking awkward and I wish I knew better how to express appreciation. -_-
