Not that I am aware of. It didn't when I used it free.

Yes, you can use the free Spotify service exactly the same way as the premium, you just have to listen to ads. Which - I won't lie - are very annoying, enough that they ultimately convinced me to upgrade to premium.

OP - Ah, okay. I'm a cheapskate, but honestly, I know what you mean about ads. They break the flow of the music in such a jarring way. I'll probably end up doing the paid version, too.
