Aggravation Thread

Oh my gawd, wtf, I want my printer to simultaneously just BEHAVE ITSELF and also FUCK ITSELF RIGHT OFF TO HELL. Screw modern technology, screw deadlines, all I want is a fucking mechanical typewriter. I'll make carbon copies. Also, screw mandatory handouts for uni presentations while I'm at it. I sweated all night for these pages and 99% of the recipients will doodle over and immediately toss (lone exception: the prof, who will file it and never EVER look at it again).

Yeah, there's nothing worse than devices that won't do what they were literally meant to do.

My aggravation is more directed at myself- despite being given a slight pass this week in terms of duties, I still can't get my shit together at work. Or at home, really. Been putting off grocery shopping as though I can afford takeout every night, haven't been cleaning or exercising like I said I would. At work I feel like I barely get the minimum stuff done and need help even with that when I shouldn't. I put shit off and panic when it bites me in the ass. I've been especially bad this week, slacking off when I should be focusing. I finally brought up one of the problems that can't be put off any longer with a supervisor (not mine, but in the related department), and dread the response/outcome.

Ugh, I feel you. I'm so scared of my ancient flatbed scanner dying because they don't produce any flatbed scanners anymore and I really don't want to have to get one of these scanner/printer combo monstrosities that stop functioning properly the day after the warranty runs out (my father has one. It's a joy.)
