Heee, yeah. So VERY not fluffy, though the last book helped a *little*.
(But...man. Every time i re-read that series it gives serious heebie-jeebies, just....gods.)

Jordan was...on and off...kinda out there, but I feel like I get where he's coming form, in that society, how thoroughly he was fucked over, used, blocked, and basically made invisible. Not that he didn't help to push himself there, but he really was not treated well at all.

I would love one more book in that series that took us maybe 20 years or more into the future. AND, omg, I would love, love, love a sequel to Forty-Thousand in Gehenna - even just a short story! - that shows us just who they had the rider and caliban interacting with. What species, what culture? I want to knoooooooooooow!! :D

Oh, I get most of Jordan. I even get his resentment of Justin to a certain extend, but Regenesis acted like Jordan never actually loved him or rather never loved anyone except maybe Paul (whom he still mistreated).

Wouldn't that be nice? I fantasize about sequels and prequels and then I look at Cherryh's age and... not that I don't think she couldn't reach 100 and churn out 10 books till then buuuuut... (and now I suddenly remember that I didn't even know Storm Constantine died like a year ago till I randomly decided to look up what she was doing.)

Holy wow, really? I didn't know Constantine had died, either. WOW. I remember reading the first few books in the Wraeththu series (and then I kind of lost track), and they were SO cool and interesting.... I'm going to have to get back to those.

I am enjoying the Foreigner series but...wow, it is taking its time. I really enjoyed the book she and Jane Fancher wrote, 'Alliance Rising', and it SEEMS like the first in a series, but i have found *nothing* about if there will be more.

One of my other favorite authors, Tanith Lee, died a few years ago, and I think about how sad it is that she'll never write more in her various 'verses.....

Well, but not to dwell.
