Yeah, while cowboy movies are still getting made, one just won an Oscar even, the type of cowboy movie they were satirizing in Blazing Saddles is full of tropes that are long dead.

Cowboy movies were the superhero movies of their day. Hollywood was churning them out by the bucketload, full of unexamined prejudices and America-Fuck Yeah-isms.
