n!f 1: uh. sorry, but you can do things on the internet that are sexual and still be asexual. and a lot of people -- including myself, and i presently consider myself asexual but identify as straight because i don't fully fit what an asexual is considered to be -- refer to people/things as sexy or hot because that's the right thing to say to people who aren't asexual. i've written smut and i've roleplayed it too but it's never been about how 'hot' it is, it's just another type of writing for me. does that make me a liar when i say i have absolutely no real desire to have sex in real life? really? :|

There's a difference between simply referring to someone as "sexy" and gushing about how sexy they are, and even going "I'd do him if I weren't asexual." What. You either have sexual desires or not. You're either asexual or just have a lower than average libido.

how is "i'd do him if i weren't asexual" any less valid than someone saying "i'd do him/her if i weren't straight/gay"? i'm not disagreeing -- there are a lot of people, online and offline, who claim to be asexual and just aren't -- but what's wrong with saying that you'd have sex with someone if you could somehow have a sexual interest in them that you don't have?

and again: i've 'gushed' about how sexy some people are but just because i think WOW THAT PERSON IS REALLY SEXY doesn't mean my mind automatically also goes WOW I REALLY WANT TO FUCK THEM. i mean seriously, there is a part of me that wishes i could mean 'wow i want to fuck that person' when i ooze about how hot they are but i just don't. :|
