Re: How is your weekend going?

Finally doing my taxes. Because of the way my job works, I usually have to file in two or three states, even though my income from the state(s) where I'm a non-resident is typically small. I always get some kind of refund on my Federal and (residential) state returns. With the other state(s), however, something about the small amounts of money involved must cause problems because while half the time I might get a small refund, the other half of the time I owe, like $3 in tax (it seems to depend on the state and how their taxes for non-residents work). It's so annoying to deal with owing tax because there's usually some extra step involved in making the payment, like a voucher I have to fill out or I have to use this particular website to pay, and all of that over such a tiny amount of money.

FINE IOWA HERE'S YOUR STUPID CHECK FOR $3. Waive someone's library fine in my honor or whatever.

Otherwise my weekend is going fine. :P
