I thought it was worth it.

And even the show is full of aggressively fluffy weirdness, there were creepy/sad moments that still haunt me (the taurnado, the whale and the Nowhere King)

I liked it a lot, and I'm not a fan of cutesy stuff. It does get cutesy, but it's very self aware? Idk, all I can say is I'm not a fan of the recent big animated shows right now (amphibia, the owl house) but this one I binged.

I love Amphibia and the Owl House, and I just couldn’t jive enough with Centaurworld to get to the good stuff. Maybe there’s some kind of reasoning or connection between whether you like or don’t like certain shows, and whether it means you’ll enjoy or not be able to get into certain others?

AYRT
Probably! I've been wracking my brain over what it could be, but I've yet to find the answer.

Same. It might very well be there, but I’m drawing a blank right now lol

The show’s like a dark chocolate M&M, thin candy coating, dark inside. It’s kinda like MASH in that way, yes it’s goofy at times, but it’s goofy to set off some incredibly dark things.

the cognitive dissonance is intentional.

I think the buildup from silly-to-real-shit in S1 was well done, whereas I found myself bored of the shenanigans and just fast forwarded to the actual juicy bits.

The story of the Nowhere King is really quite cool, but it sadly felt a bit rushed to me. I wish they'd reduced some of the shenanigans in favor of rolling the serious part of the plot a bit more smoothly.

Basically, just do like I did. I quickly skipped through the too-silly eps in S2 10 secs at a time to only catch the interesting bits, and enjoyed the juicy stuff at the end.

"I think the buildup from silly-to-real-shit in S1 was well done, whereas I found myself bored of the shenanigans and just fast forwarded to the actual juicy bits." <-- forgot to add 'in S2' here sorry
