No, it wasn't bad. I know what they meant, but my experience with how fans react to representation in fandom has been astonishingly different from theirs.

If you knew what they meant, then how did you think what they were talking about was entitlement? I didn’t say you misread their comment, just that your reading of the intent of their comment was bad. Hence it was a bad reading. And while you seem reasonable, and I don’t think you’re acting in bad faith, I still think your reading of tabaqui’s comment was bad. Because you kind of framed your experience as the default experience when dealing with LGBTQ+ people wanting representation that’s not stereotypical to be automatically the same as people demanding from creators that their ships be made canon or calling the creators homophobes for not doing so. You were probably implying that by accident, and a lot of bad readings are accidental and with no harm meant more than they’re willful and spiteful ime.

This is all my opinion, and I’m not trying to gaslight you on what your actual intention was for your own replies. I’m just going off on how it looks to me, and equating tabaqui and other people to certain shippers demanding things of creators just seems like a bad reading of tabaqui’s comment.
