103. I'm excited too. I just hope people aren't so entrenched in a certain vision of Saint Seiya to give it a chance. Most fans I know are pretty pumped, though.

I think the people that are resisting against the anime are the purists that already had issues with the LC manga in the first place. Or the Episode G fanboys that are butthurt because it didn't get an anime adaptation. (At least this holds true in the Brazilian portion of the fandom.)

Me? I think Teshirogi is the best thing to ever happen to Saint Seiya in the past decade. Kurumada apparently thinks so, too, because I doubt a Lost Canvas anime would have been made without his blessing. I think her expansion of the canon is brilliant. I just hope the new influx of fans that will inevitably come doesn't ignore the classic canon -- there's still so much left to explore...

Bah, screw the haters. >; I think that LC is a beautifully done series. It's full of emotion and characters that have a surprising amount of personality for only being around for a short time each. Plus, the three main characters have personalities that are a great balance to each other, too. As much as I loved the original series, this one just has a certain touch to it. :d

It is beautifully done, indeed :) Not only have the characters been more fleshed out than in the original series (I mean, though the Gold Saints were a stroke of genius from Kurumada, we don't really know that much about them XD), but we also got an insight about the Sanctuary as a military institution of sorts. Yes, I loved seeing Gold Saints giving out orders to the foot soldiers. XD

Ohhh yes, yes. 8D I don't know how far you have read, but I also have to say that another of my favorite things was seeing Regulus get bossed around by some of the Bronze Saints. XD But I agree that most of them are much more fleshed out and feel a lot more real. And it's fun to make comparisons from one generation to the next, because a lot are very different from their respective incarnations.
