yeah i feel you, OP. at some points its just a slog to get through and then the pace picks up and it just zooms along, then it's back to a slog. the pacing is weird probably because it's not self-contained? every episode has to feed into the overarching plot but some of that plot is just... slow to get through. other shows in this format like Futurama was mostly one small plot per episode and all the big stuff going on in the background.
