That's a fair criticism of Shyamalan, but I would argue Split as an exception. I knew the "twist" going in and thought it was good. I liked it just as much the second time.

(Admittedly, I do think he fumbled it at the very last second by not ending the movie on the scene in the cop car, but it wasn't enough to ruin the movie for me.)
