I was going to come here and rant because this secret just so misses the point, not only of the ending but of Suzaku's character and what Suzaku wants, but I have to detour to say that the person who wrote that fic completely misses the point, not only of the ending but of Lelouch's character and what Lelouch wants.

So instead I will say that this secret and that fic are equally stupid.

I know it was the ending both Suzaku and Lelouch wanted, but by no stretch was it particularly happy for either of them. More bittersweet. Either way, overall I'm pretty cool with the ending, but not when people try to rewrite it so that one gets a "good end" and the other doesn't.

I just watched the final episode a few hours ago, and while I think both the story itself and the ending were fantastic, it did leave openings for more things to happen. I'm having a hard time believing Lelouch being able to live a quiet life, ambitious strategic and tactical genius that he is (if he survived, that is), and Nunally finally did realise the truth and may tell Suzaku some day... Though Lelouch must of course never return officially, there are many possibilities. Since his way won, the ever changing future, who knows what may happen?
