I'm actually a HUGE Penny/Sheldon shipper, but I didn't see it romantic-tinged AT ALL in the last episode. I did see it in the Penny Blossoms episode a few episodes back. There are a few main ones that did it for me - Penny getting addicted to gaming, S&P shopping for Leonard's b-day gift episode, and the one where Sheldon gave her strikes and they were fighting. Now, I just enjoy all of their little interactions, but it's not romantic at all at this point. I just love their chemistry.

Really, regardless of whether one think it's sexual in nature or not, Sheldon and Penny do have chemistry. They characters play off each other so well.

Maybe not a "normal" one, but I think Sheldon in a relationship is completely possible. Sheldon resists changes and adapts slowly, but the show has proven he is capable of reaching out of his normal routine when he has to or wants to.
