(Anonymous) 2009-03-31 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)And a woman who is very straight in orientation, is not attracted romantically or sexually to other women, may very likely not be interested in reading femmeslash for that reason. I don't see it as such a big deal. My SO is a very, very straight male and I certainly wouldn't expect him to be all that enthused about reading m/m slash fic. Nor would I get all upset about that being the case.
That doesn't mean I think it's cool to go "ew! femmeslash!" any more than it's cool to go "ew! slash!" or even "ew! gen!" If something's not your cuppa, just let it be. But you can't *force* someone to like a particular kind of fic either if it's not to their tastes or interests...
