I know someone who's bitching about the upcoming movie because the ship's not being built in space. (Yes, I thought the fandom would have gotten over that by now too.) His reasoning is that Gene Roddenberry Himself said that the ship was built in space.
We slashers know what else Gene Roddenberry Himself has said, don't we? And I'm damn sure my fellow nerd will be totally DO NOT WANT over the thought of K/S, but if he's going to be so adamant about hating the movie because one aspect of it goes against what Gene Roddenberry Himself said as truth, then he has to accept everything Gene Roddenberry Himself said as truth, right?
The logic is irrefutable.
...but back to the secret, I have found myself looking at pictures of Pine and saying, "Stop being so damn pretty." I've also found myself watching particular TOS episodes, and sometimes...when Shatner's in the shot, I find myself saying, "Stop being so damn pretty."
Verdict: Kirk should be very pretty. Which he is. Also, no ultimate decisions until after seeing the movie.
