The writers aren't being cowards for writing a close, platonic male friendship and keeping it platonic. I adore slash pairings, but it annoys me when fans bash the writers for not doing something they never intended in the first place; isn't it a good thing that writers are exploring non-stereotypically macho friendships without relegating them to "this means you are gay"?

Straight men don't do the things H/W do. There's a difference between a close male friendship and two people who just want to bang eachother's brains out.

And for the record I don't bash the writers about stuff like this, cause it's the networks who decide what goes on and what doesn't.

you know, i am inclined to agree with you, fatherleary (cool name, btw). i sounded kinda stupid before about the writers, i admit. i didn't think it all through before i commented.

also, i still think h/w is more than platonic, and it would take an act of congress to convince me otherwise, haha. \o/

I don't totally disagree with your first comment though, sometimes the writers don't always do what would be good for characters/the show. Thank god we have Doris.
