Seriously, less than probably 5% of furries have fursuits because they're $6000+ for a partial.

I've been a furry for like 25 years and I neither want to get a suit, nor could afford one even if I did. Wearing a carpet to a convention sounds like hell.

No way would I spend that kind of money, plus I’d die of heat stroke. Ears and a tail are about the limit for me.

Not a furry but have made cosplays of animal/full-body characters before and you're not wrong.

On the bright side, it's usually the only time I'm not actually cold at conventions. ;)

What is the deal with all the Nazi furries?

Weirdos.

They're mostly ostracised from the main furry fandom, with warnings frequently posted about the dickbags to avoid on twitter (together with any pedos and/or zoophiles), but they tend to have a weird crossover (unsurprisingly) with the conservative gun-toting, flag-shagging AMURRRRCA furries everyone wants to avoid anyway. Ditto the nutty confederate flag furries.

Tiny but loud minority. Seem to think they're oppressed somehow. Unsuccessfully tried to band together last year to have a little anti-woke convention before the venue they'd booked was warned and rescinded their booking, iirc.
