(Anonymous) 2022-04-14 01:35 am (UTC)(link)Not bragging cause honestly it's awful, but I've had more than one primary doc tell me I have an unusually high pain tolerance (almost completely tore a muscle off at the joint because my backpack was too heavy in middle school. Doc was shocked it got that bad because I never said anything and I wasn't rolling around in pain). It made me much easier to gaslight as a young adult, cause stuff would HURT but I could bear it, ergo everyone said it was a "normal" pain amount. I'm almost 40 now and if it hurts, I'm done with it.
