Hang on, what? I hadn't heard the conversion therapy penname one? What's that about?

When Rowling decided to use a male pen name for her, also full of transphobic dogwhistles (with a dash of anti-Muslim dogwhistles too) detective books she chose the name Robert Galbraith. Robert Galbraith-Heath was one of the champions of conversion therapy, and prior to Rowling shortening the name, the top google search result at the time for Robert Galbraith. As Rowling has previously bragged about how she researched names in the Potter books to make sure she got the correct meanings, it seems highly unlikely that this was chosen by accident (but with just enough wiggle room, like all bigots do with their dogwhistles, to let their supporters make bad faith claims that it was). It is all part of the pattern with her.
Anyway, here is Galbraith-Heath's wikipedia article. Usual wiki caveats apply, of course. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Galbraith_Heath

YO WHAT THE FUCK I didn't know about this.
Thanks for sharing it.
Sometimes when I read stuff like this I think I'm just living in a simulation where people's purpose of life is just to troll me. This is just too egregious and I can't believe she did that. Just. Why.
