So... what is this scene? I'd rather put glass in my eyes than watch what has been marketing itself as a 'hot chick is YOUR FANTASY lol also there will be plot (but girls don't need brains rly)' show, but now I'm curious.

Wooow, I know I'm way late, but if there's any chance you still care/ will find this, that was episode 6, "Man on the Street" The client explained that he wanted an active to be programed as his wife, because his real wife had died a few years earlier, just before he became rich and bought a new house and was going to tell her how wonderfully they would live from now on. So every year on the anniversary of her death, he hires Echo (Eliza Dushku) and pretends she's his wife and tells her because he couldn't tell his wife.

yeeaah, probably tl;dr but whatever. :P

And then they go have sex, per the other comments.

Sad and yet the kind of creepy that makes me want to go scrub with a wirebrush.

the show is made to raise moral issues
it explores the darker sides of this and talks about how it's bad to do this to women
and really isn't about pretty girls doing whatever you want

it's a great show if you can watch it with an open mind

I don't trust Joss to raise those moral issues comptetently, and it appears others think he hasn't done so.
