(Anonymous) 2022-04-26 01:43 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, the character that Natalie Portman played in the first two films, Jane Foster, was the same person who was chosen to be Thor in the comics in this incarnation (I think called Mighty Thor to differentiate from original flavor?). When the character was first introduced, the non-Thor secret identity was teased for a long time before being revealed as Jane, so Portman coming back from the character isn't something they did just for the films.
