I think they should just stop making new pokemon. I could see the argument for new starters and new legendaries, but I think they could get away with just reusing starters a few regional variants like in legends arceus. between the time it takes modeling every single monster that could be spent on other aspects of the games, the dexit/pokebank/home backlash and drama every single new generation about the design drifting away from the original aesthetic, I just think the effort would be better spent on other things than brand new designs.

case in point looking for "every pokemon", "all pokemon", "all starters", all stopped at gen7 so I just picked a visually pleasing spread of up to gen5.

s!b: the new starters are what everybody gets most excited about and I don't want to be a killjoy
