My only problem with that is Goblet of Fire came out in 2000. A full year before the first movie.

So yes; knowing who adult is going to be in the films could influence the adult characters. Not kid unless you want to say JKR was somehow a seer and just knew how 10 year old Emma would turn out at 15.

But some of the films came out before the books were finished, and I’m pretty sure that’s what AYRT was talking about? Not implying JKR was a seer?

That anon mentioned the Yule Ball (the first time Hermione is described as being actually quite pretty), which happened during Goblet of Fire and was therefore written well before the first movie came out.
