I don't know, things aren't the same as they were in the nineties, and even Anne Rice changed her position on fanfiction later. I don't know anything about JKR but I doubt anyone would do anything major against fanfiction.

If the giant squid/house elf porn and the legal dustup over the absolute dumbfuck who tried to publish a for-profit unlicensed encyclopedia of her work didn't turn her against ficcers, I doubt anything will. JKR does not care about people laughing about wizard poop, or writing trans AUs, or anything else HP fans try to tell themselves is sticking it to her.
