What are your fav "cult classic" movies?

(Anonymous) 2022-04-29 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Or shows or games.

Movie: Live Action, Flash Gordon. Animated, Flight of Dragons.
Shows: Knights of God.
Game: Chuckie Egg.
Audio/Radio: The Navy Lark.
Cartoon Series: Dungeons and Dragons.

It is an eclectic mix right there. I think I've done secrets for everything bar Chuckie Egg and The Navy Lark. I must fix that.

Ooh, Flight of Dragons! Haven't thought of that in years, but it's a good one! I have a soft spot for all those 80s Rankin Bass animated movies. The Last Unicorn was a formative part of my childhood.

For non-animated movies, I gotta give a shout-out to Return to Oz, and Real Genius is fun.

It is eerie, a good kind of eerie. It is probably my top favorite horror movie. I really love it.

I once saw someone write here that it wasn't scary. I was like "Which movie did you watch then?!?"

Totally with you on Reefer Madness: the Musical! I even bought the soundtrack 'cause I love it so much. I actually got to meet Steven Weber at Pensacon a few years ago, and he was such a nice dude.

Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension
Brisco County Jr
Basically every movie John Carpenter ever made
Lodge 49 (seriously, it's very different from everything else I mentioned, but Lodge 49 is one of the best TV shows ever made)

Earth Girls are Easy
Teen Witch
The Heathers
Jupiter Ascending (probably not old enough to be a classic yet, but still!)
Some Kind of Wonderful
A Life Less Ordinary
Perfume

Frankly there's a ton, but at this point I'm not sure if they're just mediocre movies that I enjoy, indie flicks, B movie classics with David Carridine introductions, or true cult classics.
