Do you know anything about Mr. Enter, or the shit he’s said in recent years? If you do, why are you shaming anyone calling him out? If you know, but don’t care, why are you bothering with the guilt trip to people like OP, who’s secret you read in the least charitable way for no reason, and turned out to be completely wrong about as a result?

I know about him because I’ve been around, and used to be subscribed. Even after I unsubscribed, the animation community is close-knit enough that I still heard about every bad take and genuinely awful thing he said that came after. I have no knowledge of these other people you brought up, and don’t participate in whatever mockery of the week things where there’s always a new acceptable target like you’re implying. So what you’re saying isn’t really relevant to what I’m saying. And you’re kinda making a lot of bad faith assumptions in implying I’m just moving from person to person to make fun of them, or whatever you’re saying. I have no idea why you’re pressed about this, honestly? If it bothers you that much, why not ignore it instead of patronizing others and being self-righteous about it? Knee-jerk “Leave that person alone” posts when you’re not really involved or don’t have knowledge of the full situation aren’t any better than people simply memeing on ridiculously bad takes.

It’s fine if you don’t think someone is worth the mockery, but that doesn’t make you automatically right about that, and it’s absolutely not your place to demand others think the same. Especially people who have legitimately been attacked and ridiculed by Enter. I’m sorry that I don’t feel bad someone who spread dangerous misinformation about COVID, or said as a man he would rather be raped than accused of rape, is getting laughed at for a stupid take. Especially because he constantly makes stupid takes anyways. I wouldn’t cheer on someone bullying and throwing ableist slurs at him, of which some YouTubers have in the past. Laughing at a funny bad take, or not feeling bad for someone being held accountable for terrible things they’ve said isn’t automatically yelling at and harassing someone.

Also, sometimes someone really is as shitty as someone says, and automatically assuming they’re the victim, immediately playing devils advocate, and being defensive for them can be disingenuous behavior. Especially when you act holier than thou towards anyone that doesn’t agree. You don’t have to believe me, or agree with me. And I in turn don’t have to think much of either of your comments.

I don’t @ him, I don’t leave comments on his videos, I don’t shit talk him on his DeviantArt. This is basically the first time I’ve openly talked about him anywhere. But I hear him say and do dumb and awful things, and I laugh at the memes about his awful Turning Red video. Most people are doing the same, and many hadn’t even heard of him before this. He’s constantly facing controversy for the bs he spews, and doesn’t seem like he’ll stop saying bs anytime soon. People laughing at the memes don’t have to feel bad about it, he doesn’t need a defense squad, and maybe you need to calm down. There’s nothing really shameful about the majority of people you’re trying to shame. There’s always going to be a vocal minority of harassers in every situation. But generalizing everyone else just laughing at memes as the same as those people, and calling it “yelling” because it sounds more dramatic and mean, is absurd.

I’m honestly kind of baffled by your comments. Like, all this came from OP’s inoffensive secret? Despite the fact that your comment wasn’t relevant in the first place, and it didn’t really take them clarifying to see that for the other commenters. Some brought Enter up, but nobody else made the wild leap that OP was yelling at him.

I’m sorry, I know I’m probably coming off as a jackass. I do legitimately think you’re a nice person, and I know your heart is in the right place. But I can’t wrap my head around why you’re acting this way, to OP especially. And I have no reason to agree with you.
