Lower Decks is the only Star Trek that doesn't give me a little anxiety about what this utopia is "really" like. Because it focuses on the lowly ensigns and their day to day drudgery it has tons of room for shenanigans and shows that the Federation really is (mostly!) as good as it tries to be. I love it One Million Percent and it makes every other Star Trek show more watchable to me. I also like cartoons. I get that I'm not the intended audience for a Star Trek show as I'm really not a Star Trek fan but I feel like part of the problem is it works best for people like me.
