That's what I was wondering. I was alive back then but I don't really follow any vloggers or online "celebrities" so I don't know if that was a thing at the time.

I'd hope you were alive back then, lol! Otherwise I'd ask where your parents are. I was also alive back then and I can't remember any big names from that time period either. Then again, I don't really pay attention to it now so I'm not a good source.

Hell, for all we know OP is stalking Neil Cicierega or a Chapman Brother. Their popularity predated 2011 by a good 10 years. By summer 2011 Channel Awesome had made their second full-length cross-over movie with all their web reviewer friends and we were only a couple of years away from Gamergate.

Could be one of the Green brothers. They had a very popular vlog channel and educational channel back then. John Green's books would have never become bestsellers if it weren't for his existing fanbase buying them on release.
