If they're a "small celebrity" on the levels of influencers or streamers or podcasters that an even creepier invasion of privacy. They don't have a team or security detail to operate their surroundings to at least feel safe and like others are looking out for their safety. Small time public figures? They have no team, just themselves and maybe loved ones and friends that will look out for their safety in a proactive way.

It is not OK to look up people's private information even if it's easily accessible. Think about stalkers or obsessed fans who don't understand that a parasocial relationship doesn't mean the relationship is deep/real.

Call me the moral police, this shit is scary.

This. Ayrt has it backwards to think it might be “better” if they’re a smaller celebrity. There’s so much more vulnerability in that situation.

And yeah, maybe it was a small time personality that overshared personal information. But there’s no reason to assume that’s more likely? Especially because vlogging in 2011 and before wasn’t normally the almost 24/7 coverage that it would later become. It was typically smaller check ins, informaing viewers of upcoming things, some daily routines in their house, and interactions with friends. And I’m not going to pretend this was the majority, but a lot of vlogs only took place in one setting, usually in the vloggers house. Not following them around outside, and showing everywhere and everything.

And some people would still think hoarding that information is weird, regardless. But it’s definitely not a defense if they’re a smaller celebrity or personality.
