See, this is what I mean. You can read an entire thread where 90% of replies are trying to tell you the OP wrong, and you still don't know who's in the right.

No no, I actually agree with you, I just wanted to get some clarification. There have been dozens of people, many very patiently and civilly explaining why OP got the reaction that they did, and continue to when they double down on it with this secret 11 years later. But there have also been people who disagree with that, and they certainly feel that they’re actually the ones carefully explaining why there’s nothing wrong with what OP said in the secret. And they kind of refuse to listen to opposing viewpoints just like OP, and refuse to acknowledge that it’s at least weird to feel proud that you don’t use information you looked up to stalk someone. Some of them have been civil too, and I can respect that, but I don’t agree with them on this.


So my response to you was basically (poorly) trying to say that I’m pretty sure I agree with you if you’re talking about the people explaining why the secret is strange exhaustively to no avail. But just in case you weren’t saying that, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t agreeing to something else I don’t agree with. Sorry, I phrased my comment pretty badly.
