*hand waggle* Depends on the season. (They were made by different teams.)

Lost Tomb 1 is... fun, but the production values are a touch shaky and some of the supporting actors are weak. No airbrush that I noticed.

Lost Tomb 2 and 2.5 No airbrush to notice. Really interesting set design and use of landscape.

Ultimate Note. Heavy on the airbrush and bland shadowless lighting.

Sand Sea. Completely Fucking Gorgeous. Mad ensemble piece. No airbrush. Interesting camerawork and wonderful use of light.

Reboot: Sound of Providence. No noticeable airbrush. Interesting camera work. Sometimes gets a little monochrome.

-

Mystic 9. A little airbrush. Pretty period costume.

Time Raiders. Hokey and glorious Steampunk AU. Heavy on the cgi, but also the way they build the sets and the clothing makes it feel weirdly grounded? Didn't notice much airbrush.

All of them have completely ridiculous stunts and strong relationships among the leads. And labyrinthine plots.

Hope that helps?

Thank you! Yes, it really helps!
Can I watch any of those parts without watching others?

Aaaaaah... all of them have parts that don't entirely make sense without having seen something else - either foreshadowing, or a callback, so in that sense yes, it's an equal access free-for-all.

But reasonable places to start, though...

Lost Tomb 1 (because it's the pilot)

Lost Tomb 2 (has a pretty good summary of LT1 and the first 8 eps make a decent self-contained arc for you to try out and see if you like it)

Sand Sea (Super-late in the timeline, but has several 'novice' characters that Things Are Explained To. Also it's frequently funny and adventurous, and you get a solid faceful of the tragedy that the earlier installments build to.)

Reunion: Sound of Providence (Also super-late in the timeline, but Zhu Yilong as the lead is a powerful draw. Explains enough of the basics for new viewers to be getting on with. This is the first one I ever saw.)

-

Lost Tomb 2.5 and Ultimate Note are buried deep in continuity and probably wouldn't make a good start. Mystic 9 is a prequel with a truckload of call-forwards to later so... it might work? Time Raiders has no continuity in common with the others, it's just fun.
