For me it can be cringey not because of how well its done, but just the scrutiny of the actors involved. Like lovingly detailed birthmarks that maybe aren't that noticeable in the shows or movies. Could also be because of my second-hand embarassment of being in fandom on the internet and the visibility of everything.
