Oh man ... Back when it was just the original trilogy I would ship Luke with Lando Calrissian. I liked Mara Jade when I learned about her from the novels. I didn't mind Luke, Han, and Leia poly-ship either.

Now that we have all the newer movies and shows -- I have a huge soft spot for Luke and Din (Mando).

My problem is that the dynamic only gels for me conceptually and emotionally if Rey is the real teacher...but unfortunately that dynamic just doesn't do it for me sexually. So it's an impasse.

But it was the first possibility that jumped into my mind, and I will drink to your ship, anon, even if I don't ship it myself. :)

Mara Jade all the way. I shipped them before they became a couple in the EU. In canon, I don't really ship him with anyone. Maybe he and Wedge experimented a little for fun. And maybe he and Biggs had a one-night stand when they were younger on Tatooine. But I like him single long-term in canon.

I did like Luke/Mara, but I don't really have an OTP. Some pairings are definitely more fun to read than others. In the OT, Luke/Han and Luke/Lando usually had the best fic. These days, I've read some really good Luke/Din and Luke/Bodhi.

Luke/Wedge is my number one, always... but Luke/Lando has definite charms, and I'm starting to get sold on Luke/Din, it's a ship that I think would allow them both to grow.

I very rarely multiship, tbh-- usually I have one ship I really like and that's my happy place-- but Luke really is something special, I guess.
