(Anonymous) 2022-05-10 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)I actually found what little I’ve watched so far of Boruto more appealing than Naruto, because it’s a trashy kind of bad, which I like better than the kinda mediocre Naruto. Whereas I can’t stand Yashahime, despite it also being trashy bad. And I wonder if it’s because I did used to love the original series, even if I fell out of love, unlike Naruto. Maybe it’s also because I at least thought Naruto was a fine enough main character, so his son makes sense as the spin-off protagonist(even though he sucks, Sarada supremacy for this show all the way). But I could never stand Sesshomaru, or understand his disproportionately huge fanbase on a personal level. So his daughters being the protagonists over Moroha taking the spotlight almost feels like a slap to the face(or just a disappointment, if I’m being less of a drama queen). That said, I’m actually fine with Towa and Setsuna, I just think the writing of the show is garbage. So it’s probably just because I liked the original Inuyasha after all?
I know nobody asked, but...you know...
