Re: What were your fav childhood book genres?

Kids sleuthing supernatural hijinks! And kid spies! And historical fiction where the lead is a girl just being herself and thwarting prescribed expectations of her (there were a lot of witches involved too lol), and strange post apocalyptic new societies kids survival series. And magic. Can't forget magic in general lol

Think Nancy Drew, Bailey's School House Mysteries, Storm breaker, Fever 1778, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, The Royal Diary series ones (Queen Elizabeth and Cleopatra are especially impactful, as were a few others. But I think as the first two I read, they really stuck out to me. Isabella too. I was lucky enough to have about 9 of the books. The Cleopatra and Elizabeth ones really influenced me though, now that I think about it).
