Either that, or the greater worry for their budgets, or the abuse CGI animators get from Hollywood.

Not that I disagree. I've come to really hate the abuse of CGI.

At first I thought it was me being old and liking 90's films, but being new to watching The Thing, Army of Darkness, and They Live!, I realize I believe far more those special effects than those forcibly thrown quickly by overworked and underpaid CGI animators forced to do overtime by beancounters.
