Re: piercing woes

That sucks! I got a helix piercing this time last year and I acted a fool too and it closed. Same day of piercing -- hugging and smushing my piercing all day, banging my ear by things. Just not good. And while I didn't get a keloid (although it was kinda starting to form?? Maybe?) I do have the small bump/indentation of where the piercing was/it's all closed up now. And i had it in for at least 6 months before I tried to take it out and replace the barbell for a hoop, but it started bleeding so I just left it alone and then it healed.

Let's not even mention the amount of times my hair got wrapped around it. I should have gotten the undercut on that side. I still wish I had it though. and I'm very tempted to get a double helix piercing on my other ear....as if I didn't learn anything from last time.

i'm very happy to have found a kindred spirit. today i tried to remove the closure to clean under it and realised i couldn't put it back on because the bar kind of disappeared in my ear... a trip to the piercer later and she's like yeah looks like the bar is too small for you. so it wasn't even all my fault! though i can't imagine wearing headphones helped...
now she's replaced it with two small bars until a longer bar she ordered arrives TT it hurt like a bitch when she put them in and then i'll have to go through this again on thursday. but hopefully that will be that

AYRT aka
Kindred fool

Awww man! Yeah when I went back to my piercer to do something about putting the bar back in (since I had lost the ball end, lol was walking around with the equivalent of a screw out of my ear) she was like"...yeah that's closed, I'm not going to try that hole again until it's healed up properly."

So there went that! I'm sorry and that sounds hella painful! Honestly, the only thing (aside from money) that keeps me from getting the other piercing is the healing. Like the pain from the piercing itself wasn't so bad. Somewhere between a 5-7 at worst, it's the fucking healing time and care that sucks and was often more painful (learning how to avoid that side etc.). To be fair to you, lips heal a lot quicker/have a lot more blood flow than the cartilage of our ears, so...

But please keep us posted on Thursday!!!
