I dunno I think they may actually go that way. I found The Batman extremely funny/campy. Penguin waddled. People kept insulting Bruce to his face, while he visibly started sweating under his mask. There was a thumb drive! Bruce said the equivalent of the "you're not my dad" teenage yell and almost naruto ran away. He's 30.

Even the new EU material couldn't blunt his awesomeness, so far anyway. They oughta have made him the real big bad of the sequel trilogy. It would have made Rey being a Palpatine a sweeter narrative choice, because the scion of the Empire would have defeated the most capable soldier of it.

I'm working my way through yesterday's secret comments thread but I'm stick on this one:

After a LIFETIME of being confused by everyone in Rock Island treating Marian like a fallen woman with the flimsy justification of an old man she was nice to leaving her a career-appropriate inheritance in his will, I was today years old when I realized that the age gap between her and Winthrop, her only sibling, would look reasonably suspicious depending on when he was born vs when she was away at/came back from a women's college.

My Google-fu might be failing me, but I have no idea what fandom this is. "Rock Island" turns up an old Australian TV show, but I don't see a Marian or a Winthrop in it? I'm stumped. If the original commenter doesn't see this, I'll probably just... slap the text on a generic background, and hope that's enough. But any clues would be great!
