gonna go canoeing tomorrow. first time out this year since the weather's been so shitty, eager to see how high the rivers are now that we're coming out of drought into surplus. grillin Sunday. that's it. hopefully none of the neighbors plan to terrify their dogs by lighting off fireworks, but my hopes are not that high.

So much canoeing going on this weekend. I've never been on one. Sounds like a nice weekend. What are people shooting off fireworks for? Memorial Day?

yep. "holiday" + summer = fireworks even if there's no actual reason for them. hell, even in the dead of winter when it's below zero they'll do it on NYE.
