So wait, the logic of this argument seems to rely on characterizing the people following a real-life domestic dispute involving serious allegations of abuse on both sides as being involved in an entertainment fandom no different from, like, Stranger Things fandom or whatever?

I have to say that makes me really uncomfortable.
