Respectfully OP, I have to disagree. To me, while extreme, it wasn't inconsistent with some of the worst aspects of her personality shown throughout the MCU: she could be self-centered and prone to take up violent actions against those who where "against" her (for instance,in Civil War, against Natasha). Not that her "good" side (her desire to do good, her bravery,...) couldn't have won over her "bad" one. If it makes you feel better, I don't think she's dead and I believe she will have a chance to redeemed herself eventually.
