It's not any particular feminine trait, it's just that I got it in my head that non-sexual female wraith would probably lack the testosterone necessary to grow facial hair like their non-sexual male counterparts.

Long story short, almost any wraith without facefuzz? I think it's a girl. And Michael lacked said fuzz prior to the experiment.

Not the OP, but I would say it's how in a lot of critters there's large differences between sexual females (a queen bee) and nonsexual females (a worker bee) despite what animated movies might want you to believe.

Uh, actually, that's exactly what I meant. I was referring to wraith sexuality being more along the lines of bugs and not of people. 'Cause... they are bugs. That look like people. At least that was the vibe I got out of it.

So that sexuality should carry over into their sexual dimorphism, the same way it does with insects. Queens are obviously female, but for lower-class wraith it's harder to tell.

And sorry about the drone comment if it bothered you. But I didn't know how to say it other than "not-Queens" and that just sounded stupid. I thought people would get the general idea of what I was trying to say. Guess not.

But it's not harder to tell- it's specifically stated that Carson's retrovirus doesn't work on females, and the only Wraith who's ever shown being immune to it is a queen. So we know for a fact Michael's a male.

Yeah, there isn't a term for what Michael and Todd are- but they're totally not drones. Drones are something different.

I don't mean to rain all over your fannish parade or anything- it just kind of made me twitch.

But they've admitted that they don't know as much as they'd like on wraith biology and sexuality, it could be possible that not ALL females were immune to it. Just the Queen was immune to it on the first dose, and later, on the planet with all the turned wraith? Possible that the ones that were reverting back to wraith even with daily injections of the retrovirus were non-sexual females. They didn't have as big of an immunity to it as the Queen (And she wasn't completely immune, it managed to knock her on the ground at least, so it had been doing SOMETHING to her prior to their boarding, even if it was just a tiny something) but they were still better adapted than the non-sexual males.

You're not really raining on my parade. X) I'm still going to think this, and I have no intention of making other people agree with me, but... well, this is why it's a secret from the fandom? I'm not going to make any announcement to the SGA fandom about what I think. Well, other than this. Hooray anonymity.

As far as wraith go the drones are the masked warriors, we only know how they're produced.

The wraith have children, at least queens go through the child stage at some point, so I like to think that the scientists like the Todds and the Steves are the same
