I can't even imagine how heartbreaking having your kid die must be.

She tried so hard to find a reason for the murder, but it appears that it was totally random. It's sad that she didn't live to see the killer prosecuted.

I never knew about this! I aged out of her stuff around that time and didn’t get into true crime for another almost ten years so just totally missed it.

That line about unmanaged grief hit me though; I really need to get back into therapy because I am not handling my mother’s death healthily and it’s starting to show. I’ve been overly candid a few times about how her death has been so good and freeing for me. It’s ok that that’s the case but dropping it casually into conversation with people I barely know is super yikes.
