CORRECT ME?

Re: OP

please consider that there's no specific term for your specific hangup.

(also like what's with "ooo haruka isn't SEEN as female because people mistake her for a hot guy, i prefer seiya!" like what!!!! babygirl you can have preferences you don't need to find weird justifications for it)

OP

If I told you I didn't have to google what a hangup is, I would be... lying.

Where did I ever say that? Haruka is a cis female (as per Word of God) who isn't seen or regarded by other characters as female in a lot of instances AT LEAST in the 90s anime. Seiya isn't seen as female because she is temporarily male (in the 90s anime) period. Two completely different things. And my point wasn't about Seiya or Hotaru or anyone else.

Being SEEN in a masculine way doesn't MAKE her a man.

You skipped the part (my first reply, in fact) where someone already explained to me that she is a lesbian cis woman seen in a masculine way as per Word of God and not someone presenting as male. Which I missed entirely from, uh, viewing the 90s anime as a kid.

"Haruka is a cis female (as per Word of God) who isn't seen or regarded by other characters as female in a lot of instances AT LEAST in the 90s anime."

You're acknowledging that you've been corrected about her canon gender presentation but are still arguing that her being SEEN as a man is relevant to the state of the relationship as a whole.

No? But I am arguing that her being regarded as a man by other characters makes the relationship fall more easily into the mould of M/F Sailor Moon relationships? Come on, for the nth time I NEVER said "HaruMichi is heteronormative because Haruka is butch". Though I did imply "Takeuchi's way of writing relationships feels heteronormative to me because ALL the VERY few gay ones have butch females and femme males" .

"her being regarded as a man by other characters makes the relationship fall more easily into the mould of M/F Sailor Moon relationships"

And literally everyone here is explaining to you as simply as possible that no, it doesn't, because that's not what gender presentation or heteronormativity mean, at all.

Re: OP

...The 90s anime is very clear she's a woman. Everyone makes a mistake she's a dude because she has her jacket on, and she doesn't realize they think she's a dude so she doesn't correct them. Then her blazer is off and they realize, oh, she's a woman, she affirms this, yeah. They mistook her as a man for a single goddamn episode, correct their own perception, and never again is a it a thing in the anime. The funny is that the girls are wrong, not that tee hee Hawuka is regarded as man.

Nevermind that Haruka is not the fucking dominant one in this relationship, she follows Michiru's lead.

please explain to me why it is less "heteronormative" to actually be a dude than to be confused for a dude in a relationship with a woman, i do not understand your logic here.

It's not

you know that scene in spongebob where man ray is trying to return a wallet to patrick and very patiently bit by bit tries to explain how it is patrick's wallet.

We have.

OP

(Anonymous) 2022-06-09 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Poorly, then, because I still don't get your point specifically.

Re: OP

(Anonymous) 2022-06-09 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
No, that’s a you problem. They didn’t explain poorly, you just refuse to listen or consider you might be wrong. And instead you double down on all your assumptions no matter how many times it’s carefully explained to you that they’re wrong. Actual lesbians have told you you’re wrong about Haruka and Michiru being heteronormative, as well as the fact that no couple that isn’t heterosexual can be heteronormative. You just don’t listen and then blame everyone else for your failings. This is just sad.

OP

(Anonymous) 2022-06-09 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
And I said multiple times that my problem with heteronormativity in Sailor Moon isn't about HaruMichi in itself, it's about an entire scenery.

At this point I'm wondering if you're a troll or just being willfully obtuse.

Re: OP

Possibly both. Trolling by being willfully obtuse.

No, you're just a bigoted bitch.
