Yeah, but on the other hand you get people in comments asking for more laconic OPs to explain something. Either that or they rant off after whatever point they presume OP was trying to make, and all the TLDR ends up in the comments instead. Such is life.

Though of course, there have been comments where the OP was clear and people still went off in a different direction!

I don't mind tl;dr things. But I think it's hard to cram complicated detailed situations into a secret.

Give me a long-winded secret with some substance over another 'I ship it!' or 'I'd hit it!' secret any day of the week. If it's specific to a fandom I know nothing about, I'm going to skip it whether it's twenty sentences or one.

My two criteria are interesting and legible/pretty too look at. (I do sometimes skip secrets for fandoms I don't know, but not all the time.) If it's going to be three paragraphs of tiny text done in dark blue on a busy green background, that fails both my criteria. It's boring *and* ugly. But some longer secrets can be good--the exception that proves the rule, I guess.
