I'm not sure what Johnny Depp has to do with it, but...
IAWTS. As failtastic as the movie was in general, I DID like Carrey's performance. Of course, it helps that I actually enjoy Carrey in some of his films anyway (for example, I really like Liar, Liar, ad I kinda dig The Truman Show). So, yayz. ^_^

It's been a rumor for a while that Depp might be the Riddler. It's not confirmed yet - as far as I know at least - but yeah.

150. Comrade! <3 I'm of the opinion that ship or not (and believe me, I ship) Carrey's Riddler was the gayest thing since Freddy Mercury. He even had a creepy stalker crush on Bruce.

Personally I just see Carrey's Riddler as a variant on the usual trivia-loving and more serious Riddler of the animated series and the comics. Not bad, just different. And more gay.

Nah, I didn't particularly like him either. I love Jim Carrey but not in this role. I had no idea so many people did. Eh, to each their own.

I didn't care for his Riddler much, but that's mostly because my insane love for Frank Gorshin's version makes me prejudiced.

Super-late, but he's my least favorite Riddler of the ones I've seen. John Glover, Frank Gorshin, and even Robert Englund all blow him out of the water. Never seen John Astin's Riddler so I won't make a judgment call on that one.

Johnny's the love of my life, no questions asked, but I still don't want him for the role. It's not right, somehow. But that was just a fan rumour anyway, I think.

I was just talking to someone about this very thing the other day! I was a hardcore fan of the Frank Gorshin Riddler, and I think Carrey did a bang-up job adapting the character for modern audiences.

bonus: this is the role that convinced me Carrey should do more srs roles. He pwned this role.
