Of course, that was partly remedied by her leaving the office and requesting to be a sales(wo)man for Michael, but ... it really just seems like an extremely stupid thing to do. Michael may be a good person, but he's an idiot with no administration skills and no ability to think things out (at all, let along logically).

I have to admit, I hate it if that's supposed to make up for it. Michael doesn't have a company, and it would be completely unrealistic for him to create anything close to one--especially in a week. I'm not going to freak out until I see what they actually do, but what I saw last week was Pam deciding to quit a job to babysit a guy who doesn't appreciate her. I was like...what, does she miss her relationship with Roy or something?

That's pretty much exactly what I thought/think. I'm almost afraid that the writers have just absolutely run out of ideas and are trying to manufacture new and exciting conflicts, but instead of being interesting or fun (like, I think, the relationship between Dwight and Angela, which I loved until the fourth season), they're more than a little ridiculous. I just hope they can make it into something reasonable, although I don't know how they will while keeping the characters (namely Michael) in character.

Actually, she did just make the first sale for Micheal's company.

I would really like to see Pam stepping up more. I think her standing up to Micheal and directing him through her suggestions was a good moment. Pam still has confidence issues but she isn't letting Ryan boss her around and I think she is searching for something in her life that she can really focus her energy on and be proud of accomplishing something by herself.

The direction the writers went in, so far, is interesting and I hope they make it work. I also really want the Micheal Scott Paper Co. to succeed. And Vickrim to come back. He's awesome.
