Makes you wonder if they even know what bi means. We know he was in a committed relationship with a man when he died. We know he was very close to a woman previous to that. So....

How is the possability that he was bi and not gay not a valid one?

He was closely involved with a woman called Mary Austin when he was younger; they lived together and were planning to marry. He discovered he preferred men, but he and Mary were the best of friends until he died. He called her the love of his life (she's who he wrote that song for) and left everything to her when he died.

So, I don't think anyone can be blamed for calling him "bisexual". Not that it matters, anyway.

You're right, doesn't really matter much. More important is that he could well be one of the best singers ever. And that it's a damn shame he died when he did.
